about

"Rohingya - Chants of Freedom" brings together a unique collection songs by various refugee artists from inside the Kutupalong Rohingya refugee camp. These chants carry in their melody the struggle to preserve their heritage, which is the reason why they fled the ongoing genocide Myanmar against the Rohingya people. This compilation is very rare since art is one of the few they have to preserve their culture. It's an act of resistance, considering that the reality inside refugee camp doesn't allow them to engage in any economic activity due to their refugee status, waiting for repatriation to a land that is persecuting them and denying them citizenship.
